Lexi & Jake

Lexi and Jake’s late summer wedding was the perfect mix of bold retro vibes. With immaculate planning, Lexi made sure every detail of her wedding day tied into the theme - including her absolutely stunning wedding dress. I’m excited to share a little of the day with you:

What an absolute dream! Lexi’s vision for a vintage retro design aesthetic in a bright & bold color palette was a dream and so was the privilege of getting to bring her vision to life. Our Creative Team spent hours stringing (i.e. sewing) together carnation garlands that became the focal of the Chuppa design. And then we all spent hours in the late summer sun draping our American-stained wood Chuppa. I love the energy our Team has while working in sync to create wedding days. While some team members “feed” flowers, others design and place the blooms into their perfect position while others are cleaning. Someone else is hanging Lexi’s grandfather’s tallit (prayer shawl) which adds a sentimental touch to the wedding day. In a few hours, they’ll walk under the tallit - a grandfather’s embrace - and be married. When planning Chuppas, it’s something I always ask if couples want to incorporate.

My Creative Team moved right from Chuppa design to creating a floral installation over Lexi and Jake’s head table. It was such a romantic and dreamy floral moment. Tips for future brides: when designing your wedding reception, think about a WOW floral moment. Just like this installation.

Immediately upon entering your Reception, guests will be pulled to these epic floral moments. And while this one was over the Head Table, we love to create a dance floor moment and draw everyone’s view to the center of the room.

Of course, you can pair your design with lush, romantic centerpieces - both high and low - but you can also aim for minimalist designs on the tables (even just candles). For Lexi and Jake, we created mixed-styled tables that included bud vases, garlands repurposed from her Chuppa, and plenty of candles to create a romantic glow into the night. We chose to add a little more color to the night by opting for colored glass bud vases in amber, blue, and green in addition to colored taper candles in orange, yellow, and pink.

Other great spots for floral moments are Band Stages, Columns or Poles (in venues or tents), Bars, and of course, a Sweetheart Table moment.
