Erin and Matt’s July wedding was the epitome of classic, timeless elegance. In the grandeur of Cleveland’s Old Courthouse, the romantic classic mix of white peonies, roses and hydrangeas created an unforgettable night. I’m excited to share a little of the day with you:

Classic wedding designs have a timeless allure that never fades, effortlessly blending elegance and romance in a way that feels both refined and enduring. There’s something about lush floral arrangements, soft candlelight, and thoughtfully curated details that creates an atmosphere of grace and sophistication. Whether it’s a cascade of roses and hydrangeas along a head table or delicate blooms paired with slender tapers and glowing votives, these elements stand the test of time. Trends may come and go, but classic designs remain a beautiful constant — a reflection of love that feels just as meaningful today as it will decades from now.

An abundance of florals defined this reception design, creating a lush and romantic atmosphere. The long head table for the bride, groom, and their wedding party featured a beautiful mix of hydrangea and rose arrangements, interspersed with delicate bud vases. Soft candlelight surrounded the florals — though in this historic venue, LED candles were a necessity (not my favorite, but rules are rules when it comes to old buildings!).

Some wedding designs transcend trends, embodying a classic, timeless elegance that never goes out of style. This wedding was a perfect example, where each table was thoughtfully curated to create a refined and romantic atmosphere. Round tables featured delicate mini arrangements paired with slender taper candles, ribbed hurricane lanterns, and an abundance of votives, casting a soft, inviting glow. The longer tables were adorned with lush hydrangea and rose arrangements that stretched gracefully down the center, with flickering candlelight woven between the blooms for an added touch of warmth and intimacy.

My favorite detail, however, was the series of vases showcasing monotype, monochromatic designs — each one a celebration of a single flower variety in lush abundance. Fresh tulips, stock, hydrangeas, roses, and garden spray roses each had their moment to shine, creating a stunning visual impact. The surrounding candlelight only enhanced their beauty, adding depth and dimension to the tablescape. It was a perfect balance of simplicity and opulence, proving once again that classic floral design is always in style.
